Overview
The road to coding spinal fusions and other procedures is a sound knowledge of anatomy of the vertebrae, spinal cord, nerve roots, and intervertebral joints. Join us for the first in a series of webinars addressing CPT and PCS coding for spinal procedures. This webinar will present a thorough review of the anatomy of the spine and discuss common spinal disorders that may require spinal fusion. This is not your average anatomy session! This will set you up for success in our future CPT and PCS spinal fusion webinars.
Objectives:
- Differentiate between vertebral segments and joints
- Identify components of the anterior and posterior columns of the spine
- Label the individual components of a vertebral segment
- Differentiate between spondylosis, spondylolysis, and spondylolisthesis
