I learned that you are allowed to get the staging of an ulcer from Nursing Notes and the “Subcutaneous Exposed” can be coded to a severity of “fat layer”

Terri is such an awesome presenter! I really love her personal touch she adds to each webinar. She is warm and friendly and of course, extremely knowledgeable. Thank you!
Haugen Customer –
I appreciate you commenting on the depth and the fact that if you code to muscle documentation should say into -not just to.

I will take away that pressure ulcers are not automatically linked to diabetes.
Kelly –
I’ve learned so much today but what sticks out right now is how to code a completely healed diabetic ulcer. Z09, Z86.31 It was great. I love the detail. No suggestions at this time.

I enjoyed it. But maybe would like to see a part three on those secondary conditions according to ulcers to have a deeper dive. I want to find out how to get the webinar that Terri mentioned her colleague did on the secondary conditions.
mary –
Thank you Terri, great job! Love your spirit and smile!
Daniel –
It was a great presentation. The speaker was easy to listen to and she threw in personal experiences which helped keep your attention.

The part 1 & 2 of wound care coding has been the most informative and eye opening webinar for correct coding since coding wound care. I have begged for knowledge and understanding and can appreciate the use of real examples for confirmation selection dx coding. Wound care is a black hole and I find it difficult to find education. Thank you for feeding my brain!!
