Coding for Interventional Cardiology Part 2

Interventional Cardiology Part 2 is a continuation of instruction for procedures performed in a cardiac catheterization suite. This one hour module covers primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) procedures including angioplasty, stenting, and atherectomy and details CPT’s progressive hierarchies for coding. It also covers secondary PCI procedures, such as thrombectomy and thrombolysis, and covers other minimally invasive procedures, such as closure of patent ductus arteriosus and transcatheter valve replacements and repairs.
