This module completes the musculoskeletal service line, building upon the knowledge learned in Part 1. Lessons within this module include procedures:
•On bones with a focus on fracture treatment.
•On the joints.
•Performed on the general anatomical regions of the extremities,such as amputations.
•Match fixation device definitions to their common medical definitions.
•Determine when to use codes from the Placement section to code fracture procedures.
•Determine the root operation for arthroplasty procedures.
•Identify the differences between five root operations: replacement, revision, removal, supplement, and insertion
•Code a treatment involving a joint dislocation.
•Determine the body part values for amputations.
•Determine the qualifier value for amputations.
•Apply ICD-10-PCS coding principles and your knowledge of appropriate code assignment.
•Given a procedure or operative report, assign ICD-10-PCS codes.
