When coding for psychiatry-related services, many different types of providers may be encountered – social workers, psychologists, and psychiatrists to name a few.  But who can bill what codes?  This course reviews common psychiatry services including psychotherapy, health and behavior, diagnostic tests, and even E/M visits that pertain to psychiatry.

Lesson 2: Psychotherapy Services

  • Recognize when interactive complexity can be reported

Lesson 3: Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluations and Other Testing

  • Identify when to code psychiatric diagnostic evaluations
  • Choose the appropriate test or assessment code

Lesson 4: Health and Behavioral Services

  • Determine what type of diagnosis is used for a Health Behavior Assessment
  • Choose the correct Health Behavior Intervention code
