Description
The ICD-10-PCS coding guidelines for obstetrics are short but the considerations for reporting OB-related PCS codes are many. In this webinar, we will discuss OB coding from soup to nuts, including considerations for data collection and reporting.
Objectives:
- Differentiate between Medical and Surgical and Obstetrical sections of ICD‐10‐PCS when coding pregnancy‐related procedures
- Determine the body part for coding obstetrical laceration repairs
- Utilize Coding Clinic advice for coding obstetrical cases

I appreciate how these webinars are a full package…meaning that it starts with basics and builds from there so we have a better understanding of what is going on and why. I like the anatomy and physiology information. I like the pictures/diagrams as it really helps to have a visual to understand what things are and why. Other topics of interest are sepsis; mental health/substance use, abuse, dependence; poisonings, adverse effects, under dosing; professional and facility anesthesia coding.
