Q:  Are SDOH codes included in the current CMS HCC risk payment model?
A:  Currently social determinants of health are not included in the HCC payment model but there is talk this could be coming in the future.

Q:  Where can I find the CMS Final Rule files?
A:  When CMS releases their final rules, the files can be found on their website – CMS.gov. They have an entire page dedicated to Risk Adjustment so you can easily do a search and find everything in one spot.

Q:  You mentioned that the version 28 payment model applies to CMS-HCCs. Does the HHS-HCC model have the same number of HCC categories?
A:  No, the HHS-HCC payment model is different and from what I have seen, includes more HCC categories because more diagnoses not pertinent in the Medicare Advantage population are included. I believe there are about 127 HCC categories in that model.
