Kristi is a senior consultant for Haugen Consulting Group where she is responsible for the development of live and web-based coding training materials, presentation of live trainings and webinars, and conducting coding audits. Kristi has an extensive background in coding education and consulting and is a national speaker on topics related to medical coding and code-based reimbursement.
Kristi is active in her local AHIMA component state association, currently serving as Data Quality Committee chair and formerly as Director and ICD-10 Task Force chair for the Colorado Hospital Association (CHIMA). She is also a past president of the Northern Colorado Health Information Management Association (NCHIMA). Kristi devotes extra time to mentoring current and future coders through her Coder Coach blog (www.codercoach.blogspot.com) and is the proud recipient of the 2011 AHIMA Triumph Award for Mentoring.
