Description
Updates have been made to CPT’s integumentary surgery section to reflect new approaches in skin grafts for wound care and recovery (CPT codes 15011-15018). Join us so we can help navigate you through these coding changes, and help you analyze the medical record to determine when these codes are supported, from both a Profee and Facility perspective.
Objectives:
- A refresher in skin grafting – a brief review of both the anatomy of the skin and grafting terminology
- Identify the 3 main stages in the process of skin cell suspension autografting (SCSA)
- Determine the new CPT codes for 2025 and any related coding guidance to be applied to the SCSA process
- Apply the new codes and guidance using clinical examples

92 reviews for 2025 Skin Grafting Codes: Skin Grafts in Suspension
The different types of grafts have always been a struggle for me. I love the simple definition with examples that were provided. This absolutely will help me in the future!
everything was very informative.
A ton of clear information that I was able to process and use immediately.
excellent visuals for explaining split vs full thickness
Pictures of skin layers and coding examples are very helpful.
solidified my understanding of the different types of grafts 🙂 after coding for wound where skin grafts were used quite a bit, this was a good refresher webinar
All the diagrams and tables used during this webinar make a huge impact on the delivery of the information throughout this webinar. I learned how to report the codes to use depending on the size of the area.
I really appreciated the extra anatomy information and definitions of terms in this learning! I was often confused about a lot of the things that were reviewed in here so I found it very helpful!

One thing I took away was the split thickness skin grafts – include epidermis and part of the dermis.
