Description
When it comes to coding excision of lesions, determining the depth of the lesion and extent of the repair is the first step in deciding if you will have a CPT code from the Integumentary or Musculoskeletal subsections. In this webinar, we will dissect operative reports and seek out clues to aid in the correct code assignment of excision and repair procedures.
Objectives:
- Differentiate between procedures performed on the skin versus deeper soft tissues
- Identify documentation requirements for excisions and repairs involving the skin and deeper soft tissues
- Apply CPT codes to operative reports for excisions and repairs

32 reviews for Depth Perception: How Deep is that Lesion?
As a coding educator, I watch many of these and this is the best one I have watched all year. It doesn’t hurt that the presenter has the most beautiful and calming accent!
The anatomy is super helpful as I am very visual.
