Accurate risk adjustment coding depends on more than identifying diagnoses that map to hierarchical condition categories (HCCs). This webinar reviews key risk adjustment concepts, including CMS-HCC and HHS-HCC models, risk scores, common HCC diagnoses, and documentation requirements for appropriate diagnosis capture. Learners will apply additional diagnosis and MEAT criteria, review relevant ICD-10-CM coding guidelines, and examine documentation and specificity issues that can affect HCC reporting. The webinar also highlights Risk Adjustment Data Validation (RADV) audits and common OIG findings to reinforce compliant and accurate risk adjustment coding.
