As a senior coding quality auditor, Debbie brings to Haugen Consulting Group 41 years of experience as a leader, a coder, and an educator in a variety of healthcare settings.
Over the course of her career, Debbie has served as an inpatient and outpatient coder, lead coder, health information supervisor, quality assurance coordinator, facility coding educator and coding consultant.
As a consultant, Debbie has worked for clients in Colorado, California, Tel Aviv (Israel), Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, Texas, Michigan, and Missouri coding and auditing both inpatient and outpatient accounts and acting as an interim coding manager.
Debbie is a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT).
Debbie is an active member of AHIMA, CHIMA and NCHIMA. She has served as President and Past President of NCHIMA.
Debbie’s favorite things when she’s not busy coding are spending time gardening with her husband, creating new memories with her kids and grandkids, crocheting, and logging miles on her “tennies” by walking and hiking through our beautiful Colorado parks.
