Janell Madonna, Director Learning Operations
Janell is the Director of Learning Operations at Haugen Consulting Group, where she transforms complex healthcare concepts into clear, engaging learning experiences — while sneaking in the occasional good pun. She’s led teams in nearly every corner of healthcare, from patient access and provider enrollment to contracting with insurance companies and financial analysis, always with a focus on practical, effective solutions.
Before joining Haugen, Janell was Director of Contracting for a large academic medical group, where she oversaw everything from negotiating professional services contracts with payers to payment integrity initiatives. Her leadership earned recognition from both the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics Board and the University of Utah Medical Group Board — once for revamping surgical scheduling, and once for creating a solid foundation for contracting and provider enrollment.
Janell graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University.
Janell and her husband now call the Oquirrh Mountains of Utah home. She and her husband share their hillside home with two dachshunds who are loyal companions, endlessly entertaining, and completely unbothered by the concept of ‘no.’ Most weekends, Janell can be found attempting to tame a wild mountainside into a country garden.
