Description
This course is all about ankles and feet! The course kicks off with ankle anatomy and procedures while the last two lessons dive into the foot and toe procedures. You’ll discover detailed descriptions and robust discussion of coding guidelines for fracture and dislocation treatment, arthroscopic surgery, joint replacement, and more!
Objectives:
Lesson 1: Ankle Anatomy and Incision/Excision Procedures
- Assign codes for decompression fasciotomy for compartment syndrome of the calf
- Compare and contrast codes for limb lengthening and epiphysiodesis procedures
Lesson 2: Ankle Repairs and Fracture/Dislocation Treatment
- Compare and contrast codes for limb lengthening and epiphysiodesis procedures
- Recognize various types of ankle fractures
Lesson 3: Foot Anatomy and Incision/Excision Procedures
- Label an anatomical diagram of the foot
- Differentiate between fasciotomy and fasciectomy procedures on the foot
- Code an amputation procedure
Lesson 4: Foot Repairs and Fracture and Dislocation Treatments
- Label an anatomical diagram of the foot
