Q: Does the creation of new codes for cricothyroidotomy change the Coding Clinic advice from 2nd Quarter 2025 regarding conversion of a cricothyroidotomy to a tracheostomy?
A: No. The Coding Clinic guidance remains unchanged. A conversion from cricothyroidotomy to tracheostomy continues to be coded as a bypass of the trachea, regardless of the new codes created for cricothyroidotomy.
Q: Do any of the new technology administration codes have new technology add-on payments (NTAPs) for FY 2026?

Q: How many ICD-10-PCS code changes are there for FY 2026?
A: For fiscal year 2026, effective October 1, 2025, there are 156 new codes, 27 deleted codes, and no revised code titles. The October code update results in 79,115 total codes for FY 2026.
